Bubble bubble toil and trouble ..... Cleaning and expansion tank with bio powder

Mate, hate to break this to you - but thats not an OEM expansion tank...Wasn't replaced by halfords was it?

Hahaha yes its actually under the bubble weighted down by 5 litres of PARRAFIN in the white container hoping the washing powder will soften the scum then its going for a high temp dishwasher cycle. Should be clean then.. And then I'll fit my float valve . Hopefully not drilling wrong and ending up with a face palm. Decorating has ended for this week so I'm attacking the garage tomorrow

Today's tinkering

Fixed sticky bonnet catch and greased everything up get a nice click and pop up goes the bonnet.

Next fitted new expansion tank with coolant alarm float. No more nasty screw in there.

Next checked out my exhaust rattle and confirmed the worst. Need a new downpipe... Its broke just before the flexi pipe bit.

So some jobs ticked off some others to do.

So next job is passenger back wheel off and ...

ANGLE GRIND THOSE CAT NUTS OFF THE BAD RUSTY GETS

So only jobs now are small ones after that then ready to have a full day carwashing then up the chances to sell .

Santa just turned up and emptied his big sack..
