Limited time to play with the TF this week so only managed to replace the missing High Tone Horn that MG kindly omitted when they built my TF!!

Happy with the result though. At least you'll be able to hear me coming over the sound of the Sports Box;)

Just Araldited the thread insert back into the inlet manifold - the one that supports the oil dipstick/ oil filler extension. Completed the remote boot motor installation in the boot, but can't finish the job as I need to remove the hardtop to complete the wiring, but as I haven't got a soft top fitted at present it will have to wait.

I fitted the correct lambda probe for MEMS2J as the one I had was for MEMS3 and wasn't giving a reading.

Good news is that it is giving a reading, bad news is that the car is still running rich at fast (2500rpm) tickover as it is still running open loop at that speed rather than switching to closed loop.

Something so simple yet it is keeping the car off the road.

Throttle sensor? not sure what else you can change as you been down all the usual routes James. Is your F a Mk1 with a distributor?

Not sure, I need to do some thinking/research.

It is a mk1 but a VVC so no distributor.

Changed my gearbox oil last night ( TF115), despite being pretty level, it took 2.5 litres ( book says 2.4 L dry, 2.2 L on refill), and still didn't appear to have reached the level plug. Anyone else found this when changing gearbox oil?

Fitted SEAT splitter over the weekend :-)

Unsure about performance benefit as I haven’t had a chance to try it out but it looks like it should have always been there!

Today a highly qualified Alfa Romeo engineer suggested my emisions problems could be low fuel pressure.

Possibly, or maybe high, the engineer wasn't sure what it would be and I haven't looked at pressure yet myself.

How do we check for low fuel preasure..is this measured through plug in diognostics or measured elsewhere by other means.
