MOT time again - and a pass with no issues other than the brake light switch that decided to stick on part way through the test! but quickly sorted..
Driving home from the test I kept smelling burning brakes and put it down to the car in front.... however once I got home and saw the smoke coming from my rear wheel I realised it was me!!! :(
Once things had cooled down I removed the calliper, cleaned everything up and ensured everything was free - been on a good test run and all seems fine now. I think a new set of rear callipers are on the cards for this winter..

When my TF was in the bodyshop last week, I gave the painter a replacement slam panel to re-paint for me, although mine is not bad, its not perfect, so Darren Hardy let me have one at a discount price and I had it painted and today I managed to get round to finish fitting it.
I also put on a refurbished bonnet stay, now rust free and nicely sprayed in black.
My TF is getting very close to where I want it now, with new door decals coming in a couple of weeks - thanks Lee Pudney! Although I have decided to leave the body stripes off this time!

Looking better under the bonnet now....

... and to think I thought my underbonnet looked good. More work needed this end!
Love the spare cover - who and how much please?

What's that black canvas thing behind the seats for?

My TF passed the MOT this week after failing last week. It was the first one I'd put it through as only had the car a year. I thought the handbrake was a bit weak so was surprised it failed on number plates (incorrect 3D type lettering) and the engine management light decided to put in an appearance during the test.
A week later and I have new number plates and the EMU light obligingly went out in the mean time. I still think I need to look at the rear brake calipers though!

After many Years, it was about time to enhance our F with a new salon. Fully replaced with new leathers for Seats, sides and gear/handbrake gators.
Goodbye to old orange and welcome Black/Sun combination.
(Really happy with the outcome and with the competency of the repairer!!!!!)

What's next? Steering wheel and parts of the central dashboard.........soon!

This week's frustrating endeavour / OKish upper body workout: undoing two out of three seized and corroded downpipe-to-cat bolts...

At least I got the number plate lights working:
