Two questions spring to mind...
1) Is that why you have so much audio stuff in your car?
2) Do you get any discount? (Can you see where this is going!?)

Kelli has worked in several areas and has post grad certs in mental health and mid, and she has decided mid is for her. I was always keen on Emergency Medicine, but I guess that is because of my background in pre-hospital care.
Craig
well over here midwifery and mental health are seperate degrees... the ohers being Learning dis' Pediatrics Nursing and Adult nursing.. i'm doing adult as it offers the most options as far as career paths go and plus i didnt think i could work in mental health or childrens... i bet midwifery is really rewqarding! is not for me but i bet your wife loves it
I'm thinking of Trauma atm, certainly something in critical care (which is A+E/ICU/Teaters) because its the hardest area to get into (if im not in the top 5% of my class i wont get straight in and will have to work on wards first so im gonna be working dam hard for the next 3 years!) and because it offers the most challenges and opportunities for advancement
on saying that i may change my mind but atm thats where im angling... there is also the opportunity to become a Nurse-Paramedic which has to be exciting but it doesn't offer as many career pathways so i'm keeping an open mind

Well as you all know from 15th Feb I will be a Virgin Atlantic Sales Advisor who spends her free time jetting off to glamorous locations! :cloud9:
I'm hoping that my degree & hard word will help me advance in the company so I can have even more great times! :woo2:
thanks hun i'm loving it, got fit for my uniform today so it's all starting to feel real!... alas the only way i'll see glamourous locations is if i volunteer abroad and then i doubt i'll have time to look at the scenery!

Where do I start? :dunno:
Timer served toolmaker in the space and defence sector many moons ago. worked in the electronics industry designing and building process automation machines. Progressed into nuclear inspection and decommissioning robots, design and build. Also senior design engineer with said company and known as the 'bagman' as I was the sole engineer responsible for the design and build of airbag assembly and test cells covering various marques such as Land Rover, Rover, MG, Ford, Toyota, Nissan and the BMW Mini. I designed tooling for drivers, passengers, thorax and a-c pillar airbags.
Along the way I was also a development engineer working on 750cc Superbikes, design, build and machining race parts, engine builds and bike builds. Names I could drop are Ray Stringer and Team Read. At this time I was also doing R&D on BTCC Nissan Primera's that were run by Janspeed, this was back in the early 90's. The work I did was so successful that they came 1st and 2nd in the 93 British Grand Prix support race.
Various job changes, all within engineering, have lead me to my current role of Engineering Project Manager where I manage the large scale welding machines we build and supply to the steel industry. We are talking anything from 2,000kgs up to 40,000kg capacity machines. It is a global business and I do get to go abroad a far bit. Last year was quiet but still manage 3 weeks away on one trip to New Zealand installing a machine as the usual guy was not available, so helps to keep your hand in!
Also obtained a Masters Degree in Engineering and Management, helps to get those elusive jobs!
very cool!

So in brief I went to Uni and did a Philosophy Degree and never used it for 25 years. Was exeptionally fortunate to be a professional race driver for that 25 years. Now teach Japanese religions and philosophy at a Northern University.
My wife Jo is an NHS consultant .
must remind her to be nice to us first year nurses!!! lol
