Posted 1 week 2 days ago #209639As it happens, I picked up the original idea from a post here on The T Bar. The original poster was never interested in pursuing the idea but I made myself a prototype before refining the alarm into a saleable item. I tested the market with help from 10 members of this very forum who provided some enormously useful feedback before I started selling them on eBay back in 2019.
It was never my intention to make a load of money. I never expected to sell more than a few! It was started more as a hobby and to help out fellow owners of MGF and TF cars. I still make them on my dining room table when I have some free time!
They have found their way to every corner of the UK and Europe. There are quite a few Down Under and even some in the USA and, of all places, Russia!
There have been numerous refinements over the years. Fortunately, they have been very reliable, as I dread the prospect of needing to provide more than the very occasional support I have needed to provide so far.
As for ASDA, if I were to make them any money, I'd need to double the price at least
Thank you to everyone here who has bought one or recommended them to others

Posted 1 week 1 day ago #209656It is dead calm here, with every wind farm moribund & costing us money to do nothing.
I am going to coin a new word for these conditions; Millibund after our illustrious energy minister.
