No Mike, if its a problem with the super locking then this one is all yours. (Micro switches and all things electronic go way over my head)
I was just suggesting the easy options to try 1st.

Nick, whilst waiting for further replies its a good investment of your time to search the various similar threads to this, familiarise yourself with the locks and read up on the (unnecessary, troublesome and best  disconnected) deadlock system in particular. Then let us know what you have tried

I’m sorry for the delay, I’ve been trundling around Hy Brasil, Tir Na Nog, ending up at Brodbingnag.
Home now & I’ve managed to lock myself out of my car by trying to to see if I could get to any control rods through the gap you have available.
The green rod end clips to the inside handle, or at least it does on mine & it was through jiggling with this did I managed to free up my system (very big sigh of relief).
I’m pretty sure that you have super lock problems, I know of no one who uses it, I don’t know how to engage it & I disconnected it PDQ.
Ideally the S/L control lines should be disconnected from the control box which is behind the centre console & is not easy to access.
You can get to the control wire behind the door cards & it’s the brown/pink wire.
Obviously for you it’s a job to do once over your present hurdle.
I’m sorry I am unable to hand you a silver bullet, however I freed my self inflicted problem off by fudging about, hopefully you might do the same.
I’ll catch up later, if needs be, it’s time for my evening meal.

Not sure these images help but they might offer a clearer view of the assembled system

Brilliant pics.
I think it could just be those rods that are in halfway position so it is in deadlock.
I would be pushing and pulling on those with whatever I could get in there.
Good luck.

Thanks again to all of you for taking the time to help.
Due to getting caught up with other stuff, I haven’t had the chance to investigate further.
I liberally sprayed Plus Gas over any parts that looked even vaguely like they should move, so hopefully that will have worked some magic.
I’ll report back when I’ve had another chance to try your suggestions. 🤞

I am definitely “in the dark” when it comes to locking/unlocking of these cars and what is alarmed and what is not when pressing fob buttons or turning the key. This thread has encouraged me to try and find out more about the system.
With that thought in mind I note the final paragraph in one write up. It reads in summary as follows, in the event of a serious crash etc the inertia switch will unlock the doors - or words to that effect.
So, perhaps one the more technically electronically minded members might be able to indicate whether it is possible to “fool” the inertia switch by shorting to ground etc to see if that will open the driver’s door?

Well you could drive it into a telegraph pole to find out, but I don't recommend it!

Excellent point & one that few must have considered. It’s time to have a look at that aspect, thank you.

That’s a great idea to investigate, thank you.
However, I suspect the issue will be a stuck rod or linkage so even if the inertia switch did release, the lock still wouldn’t actually open.
Of course hitting bits could free off the stuck parts and give satisfaction for it failing in the first place, a bit like Basil Fawlty thrashing his car for misbehaving! 😀

I had to give my TF a damn good thrashing with a twig for alarm problems...so far so good.

I have to say I do believe it's a rod at half way house..
Give it a good rogering..not in a Capt. Pugwash way...😉
