I had also noticed that tweeters, rear speaker wires etc are also present that made me think that may be it's just a case of getting the lamps and fittings.
I guess I need to remove the bumper and check for the wires being tired back somewhere. Maybe I'll get Lucky.
The only thing to think about is the bcu thingy.
Thanks

Hi. It's a green one. The blue is connected to the rear fog lights, the next switch across is for the heated rear window, and the one on the far left I assume is for front fogs. The switch, connector, wires, relay, fuse, etc are present. Only the fog lights aren't there. Just blanking covers. A quick look underneath the bumper hasn't shown any wires/plugs though.
So before I take the bumper off, I wondered if anybody has retro fitted fog lights on a 1.6?

Thanks for your reply.
I didn't see any connectors by the front bumper
So it's likely I will need to feed some wires from somewhere down to the bumper I guess. If there is wiring from the switch and relay in place, where would I need to connect the wires from the bumper to?

Hi,
I have been asked to install front fog lights to a 1.6 2005 TF and wondered how easy/hard it mught be?
I can see that the front fog light switch switchthe centre console (far left in the bank of switches) and I can see it has a connector. I can see there is a small relay in place where I'd expect to see one and there are wires coming out of the back.
So does this mean that it is likely that all the cabling is in place and that I would just need to source and fit the l8ghts themselves? Has anybody had experienced fitting front fogs to a 1.6?
Thank you.

Hi,
So..... I disconnected the battery several times and still no joy. However, what I did was by chance and seems to have 'fixed' the issue.
It seemed that when rear speakers were added, the problem seemed to appear. Removed the centre air vents and sure enough, all the radio wires were squeezed between radio and cross bar. Repositioning these wires onto of the radio, and ensuring there was no exposed copper seemed to fix the issue.
So now when she goes to start the car, it all seems fine. Not heard of that before but moving these cables seems to have done the trick. Strange one.
Thank you for all the tips, and who knows, maybe i will need to get a new switch, but for now she seems happy.

Thank you.
I will start with the multimeter around the key-switch and connections and see if anything doesn't look right.
If I have to replace the key-switch, will I be able to switch the lock itself so I can keep the existing keys?

Hi,
My wifes TF has a peculiar problem as the moment...
When she switches the ignition to position I, the radio comes on with no problem. Switch the ignition to position II and nothing. Radio continues to play, but there are no lights appearing on the dashboard. Turn the ignition to position III and the car won't turn over.
The strange thing is, leave the switch at position II, and after a short time, the alarm light ignites.
Then turn the ignition position off, and then try again and it might work and the car with start straight away.
There are times when the key is in position II and after no dashboard lights, they just come on and am able to start the car.
I have checked the battery and it's in fine health, and just changed the battery in the fob. Car locks and unlocks without issue and from several meters so not sure what the problem is. Don't know if it's linked the recent onslaught of rain?
TIA

Hello,
Wife has bought a TF after the last one was sold some 6years ago.
She had the Union Jack bonnet badge and wondered if anybody knew if they could still be bought anywhere.
Anybody seen them?
