Yeah but at least the Morrie was a proper car with a 4cyl engine, the Hartnett had only 2cyl & 500cc

Engine size and configuration isn't an indicator to the virtues of it being a real car or not.

Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.

MG - the friendly marque.

one car that still makes me cringe is the early fiat pandas....i think the car has absolutely no style,no good looks, aerodynamics of a ice cube and the interior is crap and a boring amount of plastic stopping the thing from rotting when it splashes in a puddle

Hi. I came across these pictures of cars showing the difference in transport in some places of the world. :(

Then they 'guild the lilly'

Wonder if any of them has a MOT?

Those pictures are just unreal how they put those knackerd cars to another use....the guy in the first picture must be a travelling wheeler dealer, knife sharpner come oddjob man.....i reckon hes doing buisness there and the conversation is something like this.

Very funny  The tank top is probably worth more than the car. :(
Couple more.

Here in Oz no one takes any car with less than 4 cyl seriously.
The fact that we have much larger distances to cover, probably has a lot to do with it, nobody want to be stuck in a horrible slow buzzing tin box for very long.
Our cities have a fairly low population density and as such are geographically large.
Even urban commuters tend to travel relatively long distances.
I myself have had to travel over 100 km to get to work from time to time.

To give you a better idea

Greater Melbourne
Population @ 4.5 million
Area @ 10,000 square km

Greater London
Population @ 9.8 million
Area @ 1800 square km
