Thanks for the comment and extra information. Apparently the Meadows Frisky Prince was the last model made

But because of strong competition from the BMC Mini the car floundered.. :(
Or it could have been the makers of the 'Italian Job' thought the Frisky had less 'street cred'

Tony ;)

and to use reverse the car had to be stopped and engine turned off before engaging reverse

The seats were removable so that they could be used as picnic chairs!

Some of you maybe familiar with the humble Goggomobile, a German micro car.

These were also made here in Oz under licence, but with fibreglass bodies instead of steel.
There were some versions unique to Oz.

So may I present for your perusal and delight, the Goggomobile Dart

Note the smooth lines, uninterrupted by unnecessary adornments such as doors and take in the luxuriously appointed interior!

There was a van version too

I love the Princess!! I have had several - the last being a mint 1978 2200HL (kindly smashed to bits by a lorry after only 3 months of ownership!!) - They drive beautifully and in all honesty are the forerunner of the aerodynamic cars of today. The hydrolastic suspension made them waft along the road. All my 2200's had the straight six and the auto Borg Werner gearbox and I could beat almost anything off the lights! Weirdly my last one was in the same colour as the one in the video - pretty sure that one is Raynard Metallic.

Looks very simular to our morris minor.......im only comparing so morris fans relax .....the minor is a classic british car......i rekon thats just down to the period......a bit like today where all the mainstream cars look simular......but some better than others.........if you get my meaning?
