Mr Forgetful, I would never dream of doing that to Bryan, inverted maybe, but definitely nothing as relaxing as that
We've had a few picture clue quiz questions and I know Mr Forgetful is not too keen on them so I thought we'd have a video clue for a change. I suspect Bryan may like this.
Without further ado watch the video. Click here
Now simply list the MG's featured in the order they first appear in the Video

Now there you go again, overcomplicating things, you only needed to mention each car once.
However I did find your running commentary quite amusing and despite you suggesting I look like the rather stern 'Old Man - Paul?' I think that counts as a win :woohoo:
I've no doubt that over the coming hours there will be some discussion of the answer and Bryan will be demanding the colour code along with the interior trim code and tyre recommendation for each and every vehicle featured.
If I were you I'd post a question quick and this one may get overlooked by him.

Ok - a quick one and I'll check back tomorrow morning to see
It sounds like a
This would have one although not your first thought for one
He wants something like it sounds
It was a MG first
What, specifically, (MG part nos would be nice -unlikely but just to cover all bases) am I referring to

From your photo's we have, in descending order;
1995 Honda Integra Type R (DC2) fitted with the 1.8 VTEC engine
The extraordinary Australian Duck-Billed Platypus
Plus a rather flattering photo of Mr Alexander Elliot Anderson "Alex" Salmond, MSP
Mr Forgetful's mind works in rather strange, convoluted ways, as we have discovered, so this could be miles of the mark. I'll have a stab.....
So, bearing in mind that we are looking for an MG first ....
First pic, sounds like Honda - Integra - Type R - but it sounds like so not exact.... how about R Type?
Next pic, 'This would have one although not your first thought for one' I'm still thinking
Third pic, Mr Salmon, what does he want? He wants Scottish independence by 2016. Which car part sounds like this?
:hugs: After a quick chat with Saul and his friends, who all looked blankly at me the whole time and then asked if they could leave and go back to playing football I came up with this;
The R type of 1935 was MG's first single-seater racing car , but most relevant to our question was the fact that it broke new ground with its all-independent suspension with torsion bars.
For more information see here
As for the part number...... I'll leave that for Bryan

Oh excellent Paul
MG R Type
The suspension was independent all round, making a first for MG and possibly the British motor industry, and used wishbones and longitudinal torsion bars allowing a large amount of wheel travel to allow for the poor surfaces on many of the contemporary racing circuits
I wondered whether anybody would realise that the Platypus has a wishbone - If I had said Chicken or Turkey it would be too easy and I never "do" easy!!
So there are, hopefully, TWO bits of educational news for our readers
Site has been down for a while - not my fault again I hope Yes. I was only joking on the part nos Over to You

The car was based on one 'a chap could keep in his bike shed'
The car alone would be too easy, so please tell us;
1.) The MG car?
2.) When it came out?
3.) The original selling price?
4.) What size engine did it have when released and what was it increased to a year later?

I assume we're talking about the original Austin Healey Sprite:
1) The MG Midget
2) June 1961
3) The launch price was £689, 15/- 10d.
4) 948 cc engine (engine code 9CG) and from October 1962 a 1098 cc engine (engine code 10CG)

MartinW I think you are right although my initial thought was M type. Interestingly the following applies
Would that be the MG M type - 1929
1930 brought a series of improvements to the car. Engine output was increased to 27 bhp (20 kW) by improving the camshaft and a four-speed gearbox was offered as an option.
The open version cost £175 at launch, soon rising to £185, and the coupé cost £245. The 1932 supercharged car cost £250.
Avg Annual wage 1931
1930 195.80
1931 192.10
1932 188.80 Avge house price £500 +/-
1960 948.93 Avge house price £2.5K/£3K +/- for period in question
1961 1,006.00
1962 1,042.21
M Type = just less than annual wage and just under 1/3 cost of house
Midget = just under 1/3 annual wage and just under 1/3 cost of house
However - a chap could keep in his bike shed - applies to YOUR answer.
