I'm sure you are right Mark. However Paul, the first picture is of the FIFA World Cup Trophy to give it's correct title i believe and the second is of the 1967 I.O.M Tourist Trophy 'Replica' Trophy No specific Cup as such both are Trophys. Now I know Brain - sorry Bryan will come along (eventually) and I don't want to seem picky but could you not find a CUP instead of two TROPHYS if the question was about such ?

I've been thinking along similar lines.
However I think the answer is £500 and 4 coil springs
I'll explain my thinking if I'm right!

Mark you got it :woohoo:
I was after four major differences, you could have had the;
MGF Cup was 195 bhp the Trophy 160 bhp
MGF Cup was not a road legal car the Trophy obviously was
MGF Cup had an independent hydragas at each wheel ( none of the spheres were connected any other) Trophy had standard set up
MGF Cup came as standard with an integral roll cage,Trophy did not.
Mark over to you for the next question
Just on the clues Mr F ..I was trying to give you a bit of a challenge and after the clues you've posted in the past you have absolutely no room to talk
Welcome to the quiz John, nice to see new faces. You may have had a perfectly logical answer, unfortunately this time not the one I was after. We have found that there are often several answers which could apply to any set of given clues, just adds to the fun.

Well done Mark!
TBH I didn't even know there was an MG Cup car! I was thinking Trophy and Sprint (The Isle of Man Tourist trophy being run as a Time Trial - sometimes referred to as a Sprint) (tenuous I know!!) Ah well, I've subscribed to the quiz so will have to get my thinking cap on with the future posts.
Thanks,
John

The MG Quiz has been a steep learning curve for me John. When it started in October I knew very little about the history, people or the cars apart from a few bits of general knowledge.
Take a look at a few of the past questions. Some are very straight forward, others (Mr F's) you may need to take a cryptic, off the wall approach to.
We all enjoy the quiz because it's a great way to discover more about the fascinating world of MG's.

Just before Mark or Tsleight post a question here is an update of the T-Bar Pie.
Since the 'Love Story' and the last update the MG Quiz has seen us add up every MG ever built Take a look at a Dutchman's Symphony Discovered what goes into a native American hunchbacked fluatist Worked out there are far fewer ways to skin a cat than engines to replace the underpowered TF's one  Some said MG's went round the TG Power Lap and they did very well in fact Had a big TD in a skip and a small, very small French TA wannabe  Charlie Dimmock squeezed in to give us a wave Then Captain Scarlet in a Mclaren F1 lead us to the World Cup.... phew
Due to the popularity of the quiz I have had to bake another pie :yesnod:
Coming up on the inside we have.....
jockeying for position we have....
Keep up the great questions Ladies and Gents, you are all winners :woohoo:
