Its a K3 magnette. At present in Australia but used to belong to the prewar driver Prince Bira of Siam.

Ok, I'm guessing that the lady pictured is Doreen Evans, who in 1935, broke the women's record at Shelsley Walsh in a time of 42.4 seconds in an MG R-type



The tenuous link is that she drove for Bellevue Garages in London who sort of shared the name with Belle Vue in Manchester which was the site of a zoological park and gardens.

I didn't get who drew the cartoon or where it was published but I did realise there were both the MG Y and the Midget body shell in it.
