Mr Forgetful wrote: Oh most definitely an MG link (as mentioned above re F'ers AND TF'ers) although "heritage" through to Land Rover as well as Rover It also has other car links especially as "it" has connections!! ?? Even more obscure/obtuse
Got no idea whatsoever very obtuse
Draw, bright sparks, current, connections, heritage - this part is two words
Might associate the first word with a summer activity – well using it in a summer activity to be more precise.
Second word, part of the above mentioned activity may require one of these although it would not be the same as the one in the question.
You originally said;
IT’S NAME, IN PART, COULD INDICATE A FOREST AND ANCIENT ORIGIN. IT’S USE THOUGH IS STILL CURRENT DESPITE TALKS OF GLOBAL WARMING AND GREEN ENERGY. LEST YOU THINK OTHERWISE IT COULD BE FOUND ALTHOUGH NOT EASILY WITHIN REACH OF ALL AS MENTIONED ABOVE!!??
Ignition Magneto
rotor arm
battery lead
contact breaker
HT lead
distributor cap
Fuel injection
spark plug
starter solenoid
starter motor
:pinch:
I think, Mr Forgetful, you need to go here
 Yep pictorial sounds good to me.

Think along the lines as you did
Draw/sketch – what with – actually what it consists of in a manner of speaking (one word)
Bright sparks – linked to the summer activity (hint cooking) and a storage source needed to help the former – second word?
Indicate a forest – what do you get (sometimes) from a forest and worries about undue warming
It’s within reach although difficult – sitting in your car unlikely but close
Oh all right a picture - if I can work out how!!
I may be old but I’m not senile:-

For my reasoning -
Carbon Canister – in all cars and of course, being the K series engine, heritage with MG, Rover and Land Rover especially. It has connections – well of course due to it’s purpose.
Forest and Ancient origin – Charcoal and Carbon – there’s the link and it’s use despite global warming – the ICE is used – thus global warming but the Carbon Canister is to reduce global warming – well you get my point. It can be found but not within easy reach – I’m no mechanic – nor mechanically minded but I suspect it’s within reach but only if you stripped out part of the car first?
Using it (first word) in a summer activity – barbeque, Charcoal – Carbon – hence the later “draw in” and “bright sparks”. Using this might need (for second word) one of these – Canister – for Gas?? Although not the “same” canister as the answer.
Can I go back to sleep now and try and work out all those photographs you lot “up North” have whereas, down here in The West, we are so far removed we think Boadicea was Margaret Thatcher’s middle name and MG’s are still being made – the TD’s I mean!!
THANK YOU, for letting me play with you, I may have to go back to my room for a while but I'll try to sneak out again soon.
