What is the relationship between a race track and an MGF model?
Is it that the Abingdon LE came in Brooklands Green?
Nope sorry, you're on the wrong "track" there...

Nope to all so far. It is a "model" name not a colour, and the right track hasn't been mentioned yet...

Right then Shylocks – sorry, Sherlocks – I expect all you MG buffs to “holmes” in on this and easily identify this answer. Those of us who have to “google our way” around will be surprised at what you can find!! :woohoo:
My research seems to indicate that six is mentioned more than once in what came forth, although tenth as well, with aluminium body panels that changed, like traffic lights, from red to green. Two were rather well know in their time and visited Targa Florio, Sebring whilst spending a little longer at Nurburgring!!
Paddy and Mabel – names to conjure with were associated with them?
What was the car, what did the last letter stand for and what am I on about?
A small picture montage to help the ones like me who are a bit, well, “dense”. Brian, John, Paul etc will already have got this one.

MGC GTS
Mabel and Romeo were nicknames of a famous 2 racing versions - named after their registrations: MBL546E and RMO 699F. I belive Mabel was driven by Paddy Hopkirk. The S was a lightweight sporting version driven in various European events, thought I can't find what the S stands for - maybe Sport or Sebring. In Mabels first race she had to be in "national" colours so was quickly repainted from red to green at Targa Florio.
No ideas what the clues are!!!!!!!!!!!!
