Six points later...
As for what would replace the TF, I think that I'd only replace it when I had the money to upgrade significantly. I keep thinking about a 996 Targa as a replacement as it has back seats so the whole family could fit.
A friend of mine was stopped on the M54 doing 156mph in his Volvo T5 (he said to the nice policeman that i would not go any faster!!! :omg: :omg: Idiot got a six month ban, 6 points added to the six aready there and a £600 fine.

Rich in Vancouver wrote: i've always been an MG guy. My first car was a brand new 1974 MGB. The cars I sold to get my MGF were; my 1975 TR7 FHC. It was a very solid very early car (Serial number 764) and had reached the point where it was quite reliable. It had come to the point where it would either have to be restored or sold, so away it went. The other car was my 1956 MGZA Magnette. I had done a lot of work to that car. It ran a Supercharged 3-main, 1800 balanced and bored .060 over through an MGB overdrive gearbox and rear end and had MGA Twin-Cam knock off wheels with disc brakes all round (MGF calipers on the rear!) It turned out to be a seriously quick Magnette! I had done all the work myself and had pretty much run out of things to do so it went to a new home in the USA.
My wife drives a Chrysler PT Cruiser which is a bit of a dog but at least it doesn't look like the average econobox.
Speaking of Estelles; I bought A 135i new in 1989. It was one of the last built and ran Bendix fuel injection. It was a great car, quite peppy, and dead reliable. It never broke down in 5 years of service, including a couple of winter rallies through the Rockies. (With a set of Hakkapelittas it kept up with the Mazda 323 AWD's and Eagle Talon 4WD's) My wife always thought it was too noisy but I never told her that I had installed headers and a competition exhaust. When Skoda pulled out of the Canadian market I sold it.
What would I buy after the MGF? No idea, but the Trophy will be available for import in a couple of years!
Of course I would like an Aston, but not one of the Ford era cars. I will never be able to afford one anyway!
Rich, that is a beautiful ZB Magnette :woohoo:

For the afficionados...it's a 1951 Morris Minor Tourer - one of the first with 'high' headlamps but still had Series MM bonnet and badging. (But it had been upgraded with OHV A series 950 engine, MM100 bigger brakes and rear axle so as to keep up with modern traffic. Was still slow though!)

Thanks Bryan!
For those that would like to see more of my Magnette here is a link to the Fototime page that I made up when the car was for sale. There are also some pics of The North American MGA Register's GT-35 event last summer in Wisconsin, USA, where the Z-Magnettes were the featured car, with 32 attending including mine. That was an all-time record for North America, and was a great event.
Magnettes!

I don't have any digital photos of him... but a it was modded with 15" MOMO GT2 Alloys, Lowered suspension Momo Jet Steering wheel, MOMO Knob and Pedal set.... full respray Turbo bumpers and a sunroof! The car was mint... and a brilliant 45HP to learn to drive!
Then I moved to my best car so far a brand new BMW 318Ti.... wich I added a few goodies to large to list
Here you can see the progress

I really love the design and the way it goes sideways in every moment! :woohoo:
It has to be one of the latest units because I want one of the best N/A engines that had been made S64 :broon:
And yes I know the Z4 it's a better car but then nobody would be driving MG because the MX5 is a better car
