Ted, Ben, you are both omitting the info needed about the TF

TF's don't use lowering pins :nonod:

They're a hydragas thing.. They're a shortened knuckle that connects the hydragas to the suspension arm.

They effectively lower the suspension to the trophy settings..

So...

From http://www.mgfcar.de/data/IMS_Trophy.pdf

Front trim height 348mm ± 10mm

Rear trim height 343mm ± 10mm

With TFs the suspension heights are controlled by the springs. So to lower a TF you would get a set of different springs like these http://www.mikesatur.com/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Suspension_Steering_31.html

Sorry to disagree SS but the most common recommendation for ride height on a standard F using lowering pins is 338 +/- 10mm

Mike Satur also states; To improve both the looks and handling of the car we recommend our lowering knuckle pins. Lowers the standard ride height by 30mm. (Standard ride height 368 +/-10mm)

There are several lowering options for the TF. The two provided by Mike Satur are the Blue kit lowers the car by 12mm and the Red kit lowers the car by 25mm.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to use the MG T-Bar Quiz for that purpose :bust:

I hate to be a pain and I don't care who won but surely my comment that you only fitted them to F's was correct. The TF has Springs and you use lowering springs (I have X power ones) not lowering pins.

Anyway, I'll go back to just watching the Quiz as the questions are far too complicated for know nothings like me. :nonod:

Time for a new quick question.

What did Jean Cook say F'ers should do?

Edit: Ted you are correct, taking the question as written word for word. I took into account the SS dimension and assumed the question was about lowering both the F and TF by their respective methods.
