I have never seen brake pads rated to bhp before.

Braking forces would more be a product of weight of the vehicle and speed, so a 5 ton vehicle with 100bhp would take a lot more stopping power than a 1 ton vehicle with 300bhp, both slowing from 70mph.

Just mounted mine. I feel the calipers (which are floating) are being pulled-in by the handbrake cables because of the new caliper position. Don't have time to investigate it right now. Did you readjust the cable mounting points CJJ ? Are your wheels turing freely ?

No problems with mine mate. The cable end mounting points move with the caliper.

I know they move with the caliper but the entire inner + outer handbrake cable is pulling on the caliper. The mounting point for the cables is in the engine bay just behind the inlet manifold. I don't know if this mounting points leave some room for "sliding" the cable a few cm towards the caliper. I will update on this issue later.

These are the fixing points at the rear of the engine bay.

I don't suggest you remove the engine and subfram just to get at them. :)

I can't remember whether the cable slides through them or whether they are fixed.

Just checked and the brakes were definitely rubbing because of tension on the handbrake cable. Fixed it by removing 1 of the bolts of the clamp and rotating the cable to a better angle. It's not possible to slide the cable in the clamp. It seems fine now.

Still need to cover some distance in order to get the full benefit from the disks. Right now it's slightly pulling to the left because the left disk is quicker bedding in than the right because I'm using my old pads. I'm sure this will be solved in a few 100 km's.
