In 1952 MG became part of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) when the Nuffield group merged with Austin. The MGA sports car was launched in 1955 to meet competition form family rival Austin-Healey.
Nearly had to put up an Austin-Healey pic up!
I only got onto this because I was researching the Nuffield 4/25. A friend has one thats broken and so I've been roped into fixing it.
Made me laugh as it was once upon a time taxed, the disk says the 30/08/1982, thats 6 months before I was born!
God knows how old it is but they got the engineering right on those things, made out of pig iron and would probably run for 100 years! Just needs all the filters changing I think as its been run without servicing for the past 5 years....
Bombproof!

So I guess K or K3 but as you can see there are others.
The correct use of Mark numbering is using Roman numerals so Mk I, II, III, IV, so unless the Magnette MkIV is not right, but that's how the reference books seem to refer to it, I can only think of the Riley names which were 4/68 and 4/72.

K is correct, and the last answer is along the right lines. You should be able to find another either "name" or "version"...

Ok, now I am stabbing wildly in the dark...
MartinW wrote: If you mean the styling house as in Farina, then the MkIII 1500 Magnette is also a Farina styled Magnette, and some of the MkIVs were also DuoTone or Varitone the same as the 1100/1300.

Can you identify the model ranges that used these engines? (Don't worry to type each individual model, just put, for example, the ZR/S/T range, or in certain instances state the actual model that used that engine.)
If you are feeling really clever, state the capacities used as in some cases these engines were available in smaller capacities but not used in MG models.
