I suspect the MGOC, I did go there to give gthe car a check over when I bought it (Swavesey is only 5 miles away!). Though I wasn't taking THAT much notice of the building while there - wasn't expecting a bloody quiz question on it!!!!! :rant: :woohoo:

It is the ABINGDON MG Museum (in the Town Hall)

The MG being lifed in through the first floor window is a Bronze MGB LE Roadster (the penultimate one off the production line) British Motor Heritage had "stripped" the car to make it fit in through the opening with 15mm to spare each side. (the axles and windscreen had been removed) This took place on Thursday 1st December 2011??

Correct Bryan. Although according to MGOC its the LAST production MGB - maybe the last car off the line wasn't a production model?
