Well done you are so close i have got to give it to you and upset Mr Forgetful who has spent the day in the Library, with all thinking he is the village idiot  i am sure he will get me back.

The car is a LECo MG Mk2 and was built by Liss Engineering Company in 1954 and did have a 1500 XPAG engine originally, which was changed to a 1250cc XPAG motor for Stirling Moss, various owners raced it during the 1960s, when the engine was changed to the MGB- B series unit. It was the VSCC spring meeting at Silverstone on 23 April 2011.
The full story about this unique MG can be found in the December 2011 edition of MG Enthusiast.

We now await your new challenge :woohoo:

Here's a nice easy one, but the answer may be useful:

What do the first 6 characters of the VIN number on a MGF or TF mean?

Not quite right according to my reference. Eg: Body Style is the 7th character...

The first six letters of a VIN on a MGF or MGTF are:-

SARRDW ........

SAR is MG Rover UK

RD is MGF and MGTF

W is the model variant and trim level (W is standard)

That is the first 6 digits.

I think Red Devil should get it if he can ansewer the next 5 , which makes up the full VIN (without the production number)

Between myself and Dieter i have done so many serarches for T Bar and Epsom Club members about their VIN codes, i did not even have to look it up :coat: I have just done one for Kimshros for an absolutely superb 2005 TF Spark that she has just bought to replace the TF that was written off by hailstones in Switzerland in the summer. although it was registerered in April 2005 as a 2005 model it was actually made in November 2004. One owner, cost £20,711 new, has done 15,000 miles is in perfect order, and cost less than £3000 ~ whan an absolute snip :woohoo:

I think that RED DEVIL should pose the next question, otherwise it is getting a bit like a "closed shop" and we want to attract other members to join in
