Whilst we are 'adding' bits, the answer Martin was looking for in his previous question posted above about the French MG, would have had to have been the manufacturer, Monet et Goyon, founded in 1917 by Joseph Monet and his financial backer Adrien Goyon in Mâcon, France.
They even used lettering very similar to our MG... or I suppose I should say, our MG lettering was remarkably similar to theirs, they having used it before us.
What I was previously unaware of, and it would appear Martin also, was that Monet et Goyon actually started to build cars in 1921. Their cars were very small and compact cars, mostly powered by small motorcycle engines. The production of cars however only lasted 5 years.
I think I remember having seen a bicycle by them with their MG lettering in the middle of the chainring, but for the life of me cannot find it just at the minute. :slapme:
EDIT Found one

I've answered this one previously and it relates to my favourite MG of all time so I'll let someone else explain the significance of it. It does also feature in one of the most iconic photos of Cecil Kimber.
