Well done Bryan, nice to see you back in the quiz. I thought it was a MGB GT Sebring but couldn't find an exact match. Knowing MG mad works in Germany and said all the cars were very special, I went for this custom German offering....

Come on then Bryan, time for you to set a question from that encyclopaedic brain of yours. :coffee:

The car is a 1948 MG TC and the stamp was to commemorate the centenary of the first car on the Island of Guernsey

The MGF Trophy 160 was built in two batches in 2001. The second batch was produced because demand for the car was high.

There were some differences between the two batches.

Name 2 differences and the reason the second batch was different to the first.

Also in the first batch, something was put in the boot and fitted to the car during the PDI. What was it? and why was it not fitted in the factory?

Mgr produced the limited edition Trophy 160, to pass the noise level tests they were fitted with standard exhausts the Trophy exhaust went to the dealers in the boot.

The second batch was produced under BMW's ownership because the originals sold so well, and had extras like ABS and spare wheels that weren't included in the original. The original was also supposed to have Janspeed work on the engine.

Well done David. The reason for the lack of ABS on earlier versions of the MGF Trophy was down to the fact that MG had not had time to sort out reprogramming the ABS with the new brake bias and larger brakes.

Think your answer looks good, are you going to set a new question?
