I took the fuel tank out last year and had exactly the same issue.
I read up on polymer expansion and left it to dry /air for a week. Not a hint of change.
Ended up 'modifying' (spark free) the lower lip near the floor pan.

I asked a few questions and he was buying my sailing dingy for his disabled mother. !

I purchased the car for £600 as a non runner following a hydraulic lock so mine was a total rebuild, but with Daves advice on reliability / money / performance we agreed on porting of the head, offset dowel and upgraded exhaust cam.
His attention to detail throughout the build was amazing, for example moderate dremmel work on the oil filter casting and block to increase flow.

I wanted to share my experience in having an engine overhaul by DVA Power, Dave was absolutely awesome to deal with, giving me options and choices along the way. He found my head was softer than it should be and we worked through that, along with power choices and selections for performance. It was just a really nice experience and a pleasure to be supported by someone with so much K series knowledge.

Good Morning all, Thanks Bruce, I had something similar when importing to Europe. They wouldnt accept anything 'welded on' and said i needed to talk to the main dealer. Some frantic googling when told i had 5 mins remaining in my inspection slot. I believe this is the mark that the inspector is looking for.
