They do ride better than an shorty but our example has had an engine transplant, which gives it remarkable grunt, but as it’s original recipient was a dump truck, refinement wasn’t high on the agenda. Along with attending to heavy landings at an air strip, it had a fire pump on its PTO.

Hum, we’ve just dropped a 200tdi in an S3 109, a 3.5 would have been nice but you’re a long way for an old gezzer to drive down in the only suitable vehicle that would take such an oily lump; that is another 109 which is not a nice ride at any speed over 45mph.

Do not make any test connections to a fuel pump if there is petrol vapour about. This is a valid test but make up a test cable specifically for this job & with a wire long enough to be away from fumes.
DO NOT CONNECT A COUPLE OF BARE WIRES ADJACENT TO WHERE PETROL VAPOURS COULD BE PRESENT, your car runs on petrol vapour & it is a tiny spark that makes the whole lot work, just think what a big fat spark could do with twelve litres of petrol in the vicinity.

There’s some good stuff there. I haven’t looked at the video, I will if I need to have them done again, my friend did them last time due to illness.
Good tools are an investment & I still have the cerebral tussle when I’m faced with a one off job where a grossly inferior Chinese junk tool would suffice. A couple of quid plays twenty for a tuppenny job.
Cobb’s comments on adjustable spanners & spanners in general, mirror my thoughts & I’ve been known to shout at the television when so called experts are shown using adjustable spanners.

Why not buy a couple of crap standard lamp units & fit the Fiat lamp units into them. A hole saw of the correct size to cut your holes , then polypropylene plant pots to create a inner surround & a base fixing if judiciously executed.
Twenty five quid a pair on eBay, if you were to pick them up from Southend; more to your door.
Just a thought.

It could easily be associated with the sill pin, the push down thingy that pops up & down when the door locks, your root problem could be here if it’s binding in the tube. Are you removing the guide tube whilst fitting the card, if not give that a try.

We’ll that’s looking great, it might take the less adept (me) a few trips around the block to become totally at home but if you want progress you have to go for it.
And I’m up for it although I’m not sure what it is I’m up for.
Thanks Psymon do you do foreigners?
