All up though things seem a little more blurry today, I guess the settings are being adjusted........a bit of trial and error going on I suspect

Nothing has really changed, other than the fact that I've soared to new record heights of boredom!
So time for a quick yarn for the past....
Years ago when I lived in a small coastal village, one of the locals Rupert had pretty well totally lost his sight to a stroke, the poor old bugger must've been bored outta his mind, Every day he would set off with his guide dog and visit all the businesses and tradesman's workshops about the village, He'd go to the wooden boat builders, the marine engineers and my mechanical & panel shop.
He'd sit outta the way and have a bit of a talk about all sorts of things.
It's the sort of thing that a small community would do, I'd imagine in the city they'd be to worried about lost time and bloody public liability insurance!
He and his dog loved coming to my workshop as he could have a good yak and let the guide dog off the harness so she could have a romp and play with my dogs.....get a bit of normal dog time in doing doggy things, before she'd have to go back to work.
He was always welcome everywhere no his daily roam.
Whenever it was a bit quiet in the workshop, I'd take him to the pub just up the street for a few refreshments, .....some days we would end up well and truly refreshed indeed!
We would have an annual grudge cricket match, held on the Village Green, against a neighbouring town, cheating was mandatory as was all the fielders having to hold a beer, thereby only having one hand available to catch the ball, this was offset by having as many fielders as you could find! we had a pair of one legged amputees as our opening batsmen, they we called the bookends as they lost the opposite legs! they'd hop between the wickets to get their runs!
I'm just glad I didn't end up as visually handicapped as old Rupe, sadly he's long gone now, but he was a lovely bloke.

It’s great reading you again! 😃
You’ll soon come up with several things to entertain you, I am sure or that.
Writing here, for instance 😊
Best wishes, mate

That's the sort of cricket match I could compete it.
Bowlers have to have an arm missing and do the run up backwards?
Reminds me of a dart match, of many years ago, when we were all a touch merry. Ended up with "nearest to the board" wins.

It's a different world we live in now mate, nobody seems to have time for anyone nevermind a heart to understand what someone may be dealing with.
You have some great stories and some fabulous memories and they wont fade mate.
Keep coming back!

I hope you are sleeping soundly and free of nightmares.
I'm looking for a bit of advice mate on colour co-cordination.
I like how the black helmet goes with the yellow fleece and the black glasses but I'm not too sure about the blue muffler...I think it clashes.
What do you think mate?
