Excellent - there that was easy wasn't it? I hoped the "clues" in the question would help (careful, not knots, wireless) It was a bit of a Trick Question
Answer as you said Tsleight was
The MGTD has a plywood dashboard that was always covered in vinal cloth (rexine) to match the interior fabric. In the period, as is today, wooden dashboards were very popular accessories.
Wire wheels were not offered by the factory until the production of the MGTD ceased. It was in 1954 when the MGTF offered wire wheels as an option that the factory offered an 'upgrade' kit for the MGTD. It is possible that some of the very late 1953 MGTD's could have been retrofitted by dealers with these wire wheels before being sold for the first time
So - over to you. Paul, Martin where were you - Brian is at a pub according to the squawk box - sorry SHOUT box (which I have the volume off and hardly ever look at!!!

:ohmy: Haven't we seen this before? I know it was mentioned at some point.
It is the first car produced by Arnolt Inc of Chicago. It is the Arnolt-MG, a Bertone-bodied car based on the MG TD.
It was planned that 200 would be built but it looks like only 103 were built between 1953 and 1954.
The three other cars they produced were the Arnolt Aston, Arnolt Bentley and an Arnolt Bristol.

Is it the MG Lola EX257 LMP675 class cars of 2002? DNF at Le Mans, one retired after 129 laps, the other ran until just a few hours from the finish.

Just in case anyone is wondering what the clues were;
MG - Hot Wheels the MG team were sponsored by Hot wheels Racing - (where did they finish in) car in picture was a BMW 2002 and the last one a 24 hour clock - most famous 24 hour race, Le Mans.

Okay, here's an interesting question....What is the longest time that MG has been out of production? Also, how many times has continual production of MG's stoppedAnd I don't mean the start of time until 1924 !
