Yeah, rather unfortuneate, but I have to work sometimes PLUS last night I lost this website and gave up in the end! Anyway-1940 (some say 1941) to 1945 is the longest gap. From 1980 (MGB) to 1982 (MG Metro), then from 1991 MG Maestro and Montego until 1993 MG RV8 (despite arguements otherwise, more like 2 years! Then from April 2005 (MG Rover demise) until August 2008. PQD44-right again and thanks for taking care as I drove by !

Ooh and I think one at the back is a Silverstone TD 2000 from Malaysia with Toyota running gear and BIG head rests !

Hi David - I did all this in a hurry both this am and pm due to late, late, late for everything. I had assumed we were supposed to mistake a genuine TD for a replica but, now having had some sustinence, I should have said a MG TC and a TD (well replica TF - Malaysian TD 2000) lookalike . I don't know - I'm just a "goffa"
Question actually said Simple, name the cars
SO Mabel (original) Mabelle and Mabeline (for the "copies") :woohoo:

The one on the left is not a TD, or a TC.

You are a tease - TA TB TC I can't tell the difference sufficiently well so I will wait for the correct answer and go for a coffee :bang:

Just logged on, thanks David for putting them out of their misery. I didn't think it would take them that long
The answer I had prepared was;
In the first picture the car on the left is a 1938 MG TA where as the car on the right is a 2005 TD2000.
The retro styled TD2000 is based on the MG TD. In 1998, the rights, intellectual properties and trademarks associated with the production of MG TD was acquired by TD Cars to reproduce the TD series as TD2000. TD Cars (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., is a 70% Malaysian-30% Australian owned company with the car being assembled in Malaysia and exported overseas. It is sold in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom and Ireland.
For more details and a comparison of the two cars see here
Right I'm fed and watered, bring it on Ted

To be honest on the pictures I cannot tell enough difference between the TA TB TC - my fault, not yours.
Thank you right :-
Unique, excluded & forgotten . Well, not quite although it did emigrate illegally.
See pictures.
I KNOW that the bright boys amongst you will get this straight away but others may not know about it.
What, when, why and ??

Great one Mr Forgetful. That engine is also rather interesting in it's own right, well not that actual one, but perhaps in answering the question you could also say why it is special.

The engine is the prototype Twin Cam MGA engine that was fitted to an MGA and raced in September 1955 (three years before it went into a production car) Wheels are standard Dunlop Steel knock off's (not pinched) as fitted to the Deluxe and Twin Cam Models only. And there i am lost :slapme: :slapme: Over to someone with more knoweledge
