a Little more detail,
If you llok at the Steering wheel and the Back picture, the Symbol after the MG letter is not a number 3.
On the MG3 it is clearly a 3 and on the gearstick too., this one has a \ symbol
The photo also has the MG X ross at the bottom in translucent letters
Interior is identical to the MG-3 - Crafty Forgetful, very Crafty !

Now I look closely I see the X and yes, could kick myself as I sat in an X-Ross in China! However, I thought being RHD and having been round the back of the Longbridge technical centre and seen only MG3 (some with ZR wheels) that it was a standard MG3. Oh well, I did not have another question and as it is past midnight here just as well I got it wrong!
Well done Gadget man!

Ok,
I don't really have a question ready...again as I have been tied up with work.
But a little competition for everyone, try not to use the Internet just the grey matter for this one.
Who can name the most cars which used the Venerable Rover V8 engine from its' launch, so not including upgrades or engine swaps post purchase. Only Models launched with the engine
good Luck.

Martin & Gadget - well done BUT - I was very, very, VERY naughty you see.
I got a MG3 LEFT hand drive and made it RIGHT hand and I transposed the Xcross in place of the standard on the steering wheel, boot and across the bottom of the "dash" photo. SORRY but it was a bit of a trick one!! :bust:
I had thought that I would catch sombody out who had, perhaps, more intimate knowledge of the MG3/Xross than I. :slapme:
The original picttues were
So I should by rights be given 40 lines!! You are, in your own ways, BOTH right for the wrong reasons :woohoo: :bang:
Pick a question either of you - well done, top of the class

Gary - I'll give it a go to get the ball rolling - or the cars moving so to speak!! :yesnod:
Models launched with the engine:- hmmmmmmm
Austin - None
MG – MGB V8 MG RV8
Rover – P 5 B, P6, SDI,
Land Rover – Range Rover, Discovery, Land Rover Defender and before
Triumph –TR8 did from start BUT NOT the Stag originally (own Triumph engine – pique?) although many later owners did retro fit the BL V8
TVR – Tasmin - But it originally had Ford 2.8 so not a true original launch
That's a start for those that follow

Interesting engine the Rover V8 it was originally designed by General Motors for a compact Buick and Rover bought the rights to it. I beleive the Buick version was also the starting point for the Australian Repco racing engines in Jack Brabham's 1966 World Championship winning Brabham-Repco.
Can I also add Morgan +8 to the list of cars launched with this engine
