MG Quiz

At the launch of the new MG 6 and asked why MG had revived the Magnette name, sales and marketing director Guy Jones told Auto Express: “It’s the most famous name in MG history for four-seat, four-door cars. It was an obvious choice.”
The Magnette name dates from MG’s race-focused roadsters of the Thirties. According to MG Car Club member Tony Slack, its resurrection for Z-cars in the Fifties was controversial – and MG enthusiasts were even angrier when it was applied to a version of the stodgy Austin Cambridge in 1959. “There was a real outcry then,” he said.
As Tsleight would like someone else to take up the challenge of setting a question for the posting rights and an MG Quiz win name something else that was on sale for £500 that year?
New question:
In 1926 MG did not have their own stand at the Motor Show but they did produce literature. However the phrase they chose as an advert was dreadful! What was it?

It was the Austin 7 Mini that went on sale for £500 on 29 August 1959 as well as the Morris Mini minor. I think it was actually 499 pounds 19 shillings and sixpence.
