Assuming the answer is actually correct I will post a new (easy peesy) question as I REALLY need to do some work !!
Simply, what is the link between the two different drivers of these two specific cars
Told you it was an easy one! :yesnod:

Is the answer Prodrive? They ran a 6r4 in the GB and Ireland rally championships in 1986 as a forerunner to entering the WRC with Subaru in 1990.

The answer I was looking for was:
The link is Father and Son, Colin Driving the scoobie and Dad Jimmy Driving the 6R4.
You are probably correct TSleight, but with these specific cars Jimmy is in the 15 car and Colin in the 3, Prodrive certainly had hands in the the Subaru #3, not sure if they also setup this specific 6R4 #15.
Therefore I'll hand it to Andy, nothing to do with snatching the point from me at the last minute.....honest
Well Done Andy, over to you for the next question.

Apologies everyone for the delay, my latop battery ran out.
To be completely honest it was a guess that Jimmy was driving the 6R4 but there's no mistaking Colin.
Give me a few minutes and I'll be back with the next question.

Wg Cdr Andy Green was to attempt an MG speed record in EX255, an MGF in go-faster clothes! Unfortunately time, weather and finances combined to prevent the actual attempt.
PS: please can someone set a question if I'm right because I'm stuct in a hotel with iPhone and can't load pictures...

Seeing as no one has come forward as yet ... here's one I prepared earlier.
What is this special? Who designed it and when?
For show off points only, why is it so named?

 Ooooo show off points .... how could I resist
First things first, the car is the Parsons MG, a one off racer built in 1955 also known as the Weldengrind MG TF.
The lightweight body is directly attached to a tubular frame. The steering, suspension front and rear axle are those of the MG TF and drum brakes came from a Morris. The engine is the XPEG from the MG TF 1500, with SU carburettors. The car is particularly low with the body shape inspired by race cars of the period. The body was built by Peels Coachworks, Kingston. In 1957, Stuart Young built a second Parson, whose body was manufactured by Peels with a Maserati engine.
The car appeared in episode 8 of the TV series Danger Man.
Stuart Young and his father, owners of Weldengrind Limited, Fulham, built the car and there are in fact two theories behind the name "Parson"
One is that it is a bit of a joke and comes from "pa" & "son"
The other is that their company Weldangrind was based in Parsons Green in Fulham.
So on the origin of the name - take your choice.

Thanks for stepping in rog1963 that was a good question, good find.
OK a quick question -
MG enthusiast were angry about something for a few years before but got even angrier in the year that television programmes included "Rawhide", "Bonanza" and "The Twilight Zone", movies included "Some Like it Hot", "Ben Hur" and "North by Northwest"..
Explain what they were angry about and why?
Something else was on sale for £500 that year what was it?
