Thought i would observe only for a while :broon: it was begining to look like a contest between Paul and myself, some really devious clues so far and was hoping more members would join in.

I have got some more to come soon, please keep it going  :yesnod:

Come on Bryan, cut Laz1957 some slack, the site of the old Alvis factory is now the Alvis retail Park, so it could have been a Freudian slip calling it Aldis factory :silly:

Anyway since LP is not around, again, do you want to set one of yours just to keep the ball rolling

Here is my latest one :-

1. What is special about this MGTF ?

2. When was it made?

3. What colour is it?

4. What is the chassis number (VIN)

AND PQD44 (Paul) is barred from playing this one

Looks like someone doesn't read the threads he comments on thoroughly (cough 14). This is very poor timing Bryan :bust:

Note there are two Challenges running at the moment, the one at the bottom of page 53 and the one above.

I do hope there are no disputes over the production figures for this one

EDIT: Oh no there is doubt as to the number he produced :bust:

Bryan go easy on them

I suspect that this is the 1.5 millionth MG car to be produced since production began in 1924, which was a TF160 that rolled off the production line on 16 April 2002. In celebration of H.M. Queen’s Golden Jubilee, it was fittingly painted in Monogram Supertallic paint ‘Jubilee’ Gold and finished with special Jubilee badging.

Specified around the top of the range TF 160, the celebration model was fitted with optional fog lamps and passenger air bag. The seats were uniquely fitted with Oxford leather seat bolsters and central black Alcantara cushions and seat backs, which were embroidered with the Golden Jubilee crown logo.

On the exterior, exclusive badging included official Golden Jubilee crown logos – on the four 16" alloy wheels and also incorporated into the ‘160’ ingot badge on the rear, next to the TF identity badging. Above the side-intakes were the words ‘THE 1.5 MILLIONTH MG’. The MG TF was registered MG02 OTF and is still on the road somewhere in the UK.

The chassis number is SARRDLBPC2D604127 it was the 4027th TF built.

On an admin note I have changed the heading of this thread to 'MG Quiz', as the scope of challenges has extended way beyond 'Where is it?'
