Just so the T-Bar faithful can have something new to have a go at the answer to David's question was the 1952 MG TD Motto Racer, so called because it was based on TD with an exterior styled by Rocco Motto and his Carrozzeria Motto Coachworks who produced racing bodies for Ferrari and others; he produced three bodies for the MG TD.
