So it shares the same V8 engine as the ZT 260 single cam or the MG SV twin cam?

I reckon it is the Ford Falcon BA XR8, fitted with a Ford 5.4 litre Boss 260 Modular V8 engine.
There are two MG links to the engine, or previous versions of the same engine family.
MG X-Power SV which used a 32-valve DOHC 4.6 L V8 version and the
MG ZT which used a 16-valve SOHC 4.6 L V8 version
The MG SV used the same number of valves so I'll go with that

However yes, you're more correct in that they don't technically share the same engine as any MG, but the same family (the Falcon was the only car to get the 5.4 quad cam, I think). The engine in the ZT is quite different, iron block (even though alloy block 2V engines were available, they were more expensive), 2V heads etc. The SV 4.6 is quite similar to the 5.4 V8 in the 'coon, very similar (if not the same) heads and all alloy. Interestingly, even though many many kit cars and other manufacturers have used Ford Modular engines, the ZT is the only non-Ford to use the 2V engine. Not particularly surprising, it is a bit asthmatic at the top.
Interesting engines, Ford wasn't concerned with back-compatibility so parts off a 2005 4V 4.6 engine won't necessarily fit a 2004 4V 4.6... Hell, parts from one factory won't necessarily fit parts from another, for what is in theory the same engine built on the same day...

MG Rover and TATA (formerly Telco) were looking at producing the Indica at the plant
There was also speculation at the time of the plant being used to produce some of the MG Rover models and Daewoo's Matiz, Nubira and Lanos vehicles.
A year later, in 2003 the talks faltered and the deal never went through.

It will be all right in the end. If it isn't all right yet, then it is not yet the end..
