If it’s any help, the standard blue flash front springs I removed have a free length of 247 mm. Roger Parker’s book states 2002 spec roll bar at 18mm and 2005 spec at 20mm, however this does not tally with my 2002 car which is 20mm.

I havent done many miles yet on the soft ride kit yet, but first impressions are that it still retains a sports car firm ride but without the banging and crashing. Generally the car feels more planted on the road, I would put this down to the more efficient dampers that better match the spring rates.

Purely speculative on my part, but I wonder if the front spring rate increase is designed to obviate the need for an increased diameter ARB ?

Hi,
I have a 2002 TF with the original front ARB which measures 20.39 diameter over tye PU coating, so I would take this as 20mm.

Ive just fitted a soft ride kit and the front springs have a yellow paint flash which appears to be an increase on the standard blue spring rate. Yellow =420lbs Blue = 375 lbs.

Rear springs incidentially are Red 600lbs as original, dampers are gas pressurised Monroe.
