Noisy wiper motor!

You say that fiddly jobs are not your forte, yet you were interested enough to ask the question, “why it it noisy?” It might have taken you a while to get it operating to your satisfaction but at each stage you were inspired enough to ask questions, select the appropriate advice & act on it.
Fiddling might not have been your forte, however that is passed tense, you are now primed for the next step, which will pave the way for more.
Ten days ago “Bearing Fit” were a couple of words, now it’s on your shelf & you know how to use it.

I have to admit I had never heard of Bearing Fit. To me a bearing either fits or it doesn't.
The kind of bearings I have been used to are in gearboxes, hubs or half shafts and they all need pressing on and off.
I was surprised to find it wasn't a tight fit but I do believe it was a cheap bearing and a more recognised name would actually be 8mm.
If anyone has a noisy motor lying about I encourage them to strip it and if they get that far to buy a bearing!
